South KoreaI am a firm believer that we are what we eat. A nutritious diet low in fats and rich in vitamins is essential to our own health, and that of our skin. But what we put on our skin is important, too. Vitamins, for example, benefit skin in a myriad of different ways even when topically applied. These indispensable nutrients help counteract free radical damage, dark spots, and dehydration, making it a breeze to achieve a softer, smoother, and even-toned complexion.
My favorite is Dr Jart+’s V7 Radiance Toner, which contains 7 vital multi-vitamins to promote skin brightness and youthfulness: vitamin A reduces wrinkles and enhances cellular turnover to boost skin rejuvanation; vitamin B3 brightens skin; vitamin B5 soothes irritations; vitamin C stimulates the production of collagen, which keeps skin firm and elastic, and reduces dark spots; vitamin E stops premature aging in its tracks thanks to its antioxidant properties; vitamin F moisturizes and relieves aggravated skin; and finally vitamin H prevents skin trouble with its anti-inflammatory properties.
This mix of vitamins is one of the reasons I’m such a big fan of this toner, and it’s why I use it religiously every morning. The other reason I love this toner is because of its mild-peeling complex, which dissolves the “glue” that binds dead cells to the surface of the skin. This is important because, when dead cells accumulate too much, skin loses its natural glow and becomes dull and rough to the touch. When we’re young, skin is able to slough these dead cells off on its own, but as we age, its natural exfoliating ability weakens and so it’s essential to give it a helping hand.

That said, it’s still gentle enough that it won’t cause irritations. I pour a small amount on a cotton pad, and then gently pat it on my skin each morning. Its lightweight texture sinks quickly into my skin, and feels pleasantly refreshing.
Usually, it takes about a month before you come across real, noticeable results from anti-aging and brightening skincare products. But with Dr Jart+’s V7 Radiance Toner, I saw an improvement after just seven days.
