Centella asiatica (gotu kola) contains triterpene saponins (asiaticosides, madecassosides), derivatives of triterpene acids (asiatic, madecassiic, centyl, centoyl, etc.), derivatives of R1-barrigenol, polyacetylene compounds, tannins, flavonoids (rutin, kaempferol, quercetin, etc.), bioflavonoids, alkaloids, essential oil (0.1 %; rich in pinene, myrcene, etc. mono- and sesquiterpenoids), vitamins, minerals: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, thymine, asparagine, isogynetine.
